Our university added another new project to the environmental initiatives it carries out with the aim of increasing environmental awareness, raising nature-sensitive individuals, and making the campus area more livable. In this context, the sapling planting event, organized in line with the "Green Campus - Climate-Friendly University" vision, was held with great participation. With the number of saplings planted during 2025 reaching 2,501, another important threshold in the university's sustainability goals has been surpassed.

Bingöl University has been awarded the “Nutrition-Friendly and Physically Active Workplace Certificate” in recognition of its efforts to promote healthy living across the campus. The certificate was presented to Rector Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik by Bingöl Provincial Health Director Dr. Samet Tatlı.

Bingöl University has been granted a prestigious award in recognition of its successful work in the fields of urbanism, urban transformation and the development of sustainable living spaces. Owing to its contributions to the urban ecosystem across Türkiye, the university was selected as the recipient of the “Most Successful University Supporting Urban Transformation and Urban Studies” award. The award was presented to Bingöl University Rector Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik at a ceremony.

Bingöl University organized a meaningful event to preserve cultural heritage and introduce young people to traditional sports. Within the framework of the “Sports-Friendly Campus” vision, the Department of Health, Culture and Sports held the “Traditional Sports Games on Campus” event with the strong participation of university students and staff.

The 6th International Youth Studies Congress, held in Fethiye, Muğla between 29 October and 2 November 2025, brought together academics, researchers and students from various universities and countries. Within the framework of the VI International Youth Research Congress, an official protocol was signed between Bingol University and Kyrgyzstan Jalal-Abad State University to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation.

The application made by our University to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office for 'Bingöl Honey' geographical indication was accepted on October 7, 2022.

Rector Çapak, who informed the members of the press about the 2021-2022 academic year at the meeting, pointed out that they applied to YÖK for the opening of 4 new faculties, and that they saw the Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation as the most suitable for Bingöl among these faculties.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who came to Bingöl to make a series of contacts, spoke at the "Entrepreneurial and Humane Turkish Foreign Policy" conference held at our University.

The VII. INCSOS Karabakh International Social Sciences Congress, in which our university is also in the organizing committee, was held on 2-4 June 2022 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

A cooperation protocol was signed between the delegation of our University, which participated in the seventh INCSOS Karabakh International Social Sciences Congress held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on 2-4 June 2022, in which our university is also in the organizing committee, and the Azerbaijan Republic Azerbaijan Beekeepers Association (Azerbaijan Beekeepers Association).
