BİNGÖL ÜNİVERSİTESİ

Bingöl University’s 2025–2026 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held with the participation of Bingöl Governor Cahit Çelik, Bingöl Deputy Mayor Hasan Çeçen, Bingöl University Rector Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Sabri Küyük, Provincial Police Chief Beyti Kalaycı, protocol members, academics, students, and their families. The program began with a moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem. Bingöl Governor Cahit Çelik, Bingöl Deputy Mayor Hasan Çeçen, and Bingöl University Rector Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik each delivered speeches during the ceremony.

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik congratulated the graduating students and stated that Bingöl University has significantly increased its scientific production capacity, research infrastructure, and international visibility in recent years. He emphasized that the university has gone beyond being a regional higher education institution and has become an educational center preferred at both national and international levels.

Referring to the university’s “Next-Generation University” vision, Çelik noted that they address education, research, and social contribution with a holistic approach. He stated that they aim to build the university of the future through studies carried out in strategic fields such as technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, the defense industry, smart agriculture, and biotechnology.

Addressing the graduates, Çelik emphasized that success in today’s world is not limited to merely holding a diploma. He advised young people to combine their knowledge with conscience, morality, and a sense of social responsibility. Çelik also stated that, regardless of the profession they pursue, they should never compromise on justice, honesty, and respect for human dignity, adding that the graduates will assume important responsibilities as individuals who will help shape the future of the country.

Awards Presented to Top-Ranking Students

Following the speeches, certificates of achievement were presented to students who ranked highest in associate and undergraduate programs. In the associate degree category, İlayda Okur, a student of the Home Patient Care Program at the Vocational School of Health Services, ranked third; Dilan Tekingündüz Kutlu, a student of the Culinary Arts Program at the Vocational School of Social Sciences, ranked second; and Arda Şanlıoğlu, a student of the Dental Prosthetics Technology Program at the Vocational School of Health Services, ranked first.

In the undergraduate category, İbrahim Diri, a student of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, ranked third; Cahit Begiç, a student of the same department, ranked second; and Reyhan Korkut, a student of the Department of Islamic Sciences at the Faculty of Theology, graduated as the top-ranking student of the university.

As the certificates of achievement were presented to the top-ranking students by protocol members, emotional moments were experienced in the hall. Later, Arda Şanlıoğlu, the top-ranking associate degree graduate, and Reyhan Korkut, the top-ranking undergraduate graduate, each delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, thanking their families, academics, and the university administration for their support throughout their educational journey.

As part of the program, the traditional name-engraving ceremony on the university’s graduation log was also held. The ceremony concluded with the graduates tossing their caps into the air.
