BİNGÖL ÜNİVERSİTESİ

The universities eligible to receive an award within the scope of the “Sports-Friendly Campus” project, carried out by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) to support students and staff in maintaining healthy lifestyle habits and engaging in sports, have been announced. In this regard, Bingöl University has earned the title of “Sports-Friendly Campus.”

With its support for sports, adequate sports facilities and equipment infrastructure, sports courses and activities offered to students, and the opportunities it provides for student-athletes, Bingöl University was among the universities deemed worthy of the “Sports-Friendly Campus” award.

The Sports-Friendly Campus Certificate Presentation Ceremony was held with the participation of YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and hosted by Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University. Rector Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik attended the ceremony on behalf of Bingöl University.

Commenting on the award, Rector Prof. Dr. Erdal Çelik stated that Bingöl University continues its activities with an approach that values not only students’ academic development but also their physical, social, and psychological development. Prof. Dr. Çelik said:

“Bingöl University’s receipt of the ‘Sports-Friendly Campus’ award is an important outcome of our efforts to promote a culture of healthy living on our campus. We will continue to strengthen our facilities, increase our sports activities, and support our student-athletes in order to ensure that our students enjoy a university life intertwined with sports. I would like to thank all our academic and administrative staff, students, and stakeholders who contributed to receiving this meaningful award.”
